Who We Are
Enkishon Sidai Africa is a non-profit organization that collaborates with the Maasai population in Narok County, Kenya. We seek to empower our community through advocating for children's rights, the elimination of harmful cultural practices such as FGM and early marriages, promotion of girls' education in the Maasai community and sustainable livelihoods through provision of alternative sources of livelihoods such as smart agriculture.

Ensuring proper provision of sexual health education to adolescent girls.
We recognize that every child has the right to education. Unfortunately, many girls inour community are denied this fundamental right. Enkishon Sidai Africa has been working tirelessly to ensure that girls have access to education by providing high school and university scholarships to bright yet vulnerable children in Narok. We have collaborated with various stakeholders and community to ensure that these girls are able to attend school and pursue their dreams.
In an effort to reduce teenage pregnancy in Narok, Enkishon Sidai Africa has partnered with several schools to raise awareness on sexual and reproductive health rights. This initiative aims to ensure that adolescent girls are well-informed about menstrual hygiene and sexual reproductive health. Given that Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is practiced in the Maasai community, we also conduct anti-FGM advocacy in both schools and the broader community. Additionally, we promote community-led alternative rites of passage to ensure that girls transition from childhood to womanhood without undergoing the cut.
Our efforts as Enkishon Sidai Africa are aimed at building resilient livelihoods where community climate resilience is achieved through diverse practices that build on community resources that the community members mobilize themselves to cope or adapt to climatic changes while navigating uncertainty.

Purity grew up in a small Maasai village in rural Kenya. FGM and early marriages are a common practice within the Maasai community, and girls are not given equal opportunities when it comes to access to education. Purity is skilled in Anti-Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) activism, adept in policy implementation, and women’s advocacy. Her focus is proficient in working collaboratively with affected communities, focusing on Anti-FGM advocacy, women and girls' empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Today, Purity embarks on a dedicated mission to fight for the rights of girls in her Maasai community. Her dream is to empower young girls by amplifying their voices and convince her community to abandon the harmful practice.
